What will happen in my assessment?

I will meet you at the door, offer to make you a drink and lead you to the counselling room (see pictures). We will look at the contract together and I’ll ask you to sign it. I will ask you to complete a questionnaire about symptoms of low mood and anxiety, phobias and how different areas of your life are affected. I will ask you about the difficulties you are experiencing and we’ll assess any risk that you might be in. I will ask you about past experiences of therapy (if any) and support you in setting goals for our work together. If you decide after meeting with me that you would like to work together, we will schedule our first session and I will ask for a deposit of £15 (please see cancellation policy).
